Brazil
it is a federal
republic formed by the union of 26 federal states. The Brazilian
territory cover 47.9% - of South America and some groups of islands in
the Atlantic Ocean, reason why occupies the fifth place at world-wide
level in territory, and has limits with all the South American
countries, excepting to Chile and Ecuador. The north border with
Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam and the French Guayana; to the

Ocean; and to the west with Bolivia and Peru. Brazil is also fifth in
number of inhabitants. Great part of its territory is covered by the
amazonian forest, with 3.6 million square kilometers. Thanks to this and
to its climate, it is the country with more animal species in the world.
Its capital is Brasilia, that replaced
Rio de Janeiro in 1960 . Having be
Salvador de Bahia the first national capital, is then Brasilia the
third city in being the capital of Brazil. |
