Czech Republic
is a State of the European Union. Is borders are in the north with
Poland, in the east with
Slovakia, in the south with
Austria, and in the west with
Germany. Along with Poland,
Slovakia and
Hungary, integra the Visegrad Group of nations of Central Europe.
Bohemia, the western part of the country, is surrounded by low mounts
and forms a river basin, drained by Labe (Elbe river) and the Vltava (Moldava
river). Moravia, the Eastern part, is also mountainous and is drained by
the Morava river. Silesia, is the part in the north of Moravia, between
Moravia and Poland |
