is a country located
almost in totality in North America, also including a state in the
Australian Continent. A federal district is conformed by 50 states. Also
it has several located dependent territories in the Antilles and the
Australian Continent. In North America are 49 states located, of which,
48 contiguous continental states are in the region between Canada and
Mexico.
Alaska is in the zone the northwest of North America, separated of the
other states by the Canadian territory of British Columbia. The
Polynesian archipelago of Hawaii is located in the Pacific Ocean. The
federal capital, Washington, are placed in the District of Columbia,
enter the states from Maryland the north and Virginia the south. The
geography of the continental area is injured in the western zone, where
the Rocky Mountains are located. In the northeast zone is Appalachian
Mountains and in the south-western region the Mexican Mother Mountain.
To the north, the continental states share border with Canada, and
Alaska, with the Arctic Ocean; the South they boarder with
Mexico
and the Gulf of Mexico; to the East is the Atlantic Ocean, and to the
West the Pacific Ocean. |
